Bring Your Home Oasis Indoors

Aug 1, 2024

Bring Your Home Oasis Indoors! It’s August, and the heat of the summer is upon us. We’ve created our garden (Blooming Summer) and enjoyed the fruits of our labor (Celebrating Summer). Now, it’s time to find some shade and enjoy the AC for a while. Let’s bring nature indoors, where these plants might just thank us for the mercy. Life is better with Lesera.

Grab your beautiful Lesera planters and pots and Bringing these species indoors a beautiful and refreshing home. These plants thrive indoors, especially during the late summer heat. First on the list is… _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

  1. Spider Plants

NASA once highlighted Spider Plants for their air purification ability. They thrive with balanced watering and moderate, indirect sunlight. During summer, increase watering to stimulate growth. A temperature of around 80°F is ideal for these little beauties.

Watch out for their rapid growth—they may need repotting within a year. Fertilize twice a month in spring and summer, but avoid overfertilization for mildly fresher air. These are great plants to flank

  2. Pothos

Also known as Devil’s Ivy, this vigorous grower hails from the French Polynesian islands and now decorates homes everywhere.
As an invasive species, they thrive indoors. Hanging baskets showcase their up-to-24-ft vines. Keep temperatures stable around 75°F, avoiding cold drafts. Water only when the soil feels dry, and trim any brown or dead stems.

  3. Succulent

They come in a variety of styles, from Aloe Vera and Sedum to Jade plants and Cacti. These plants are survivors. Aloe Vera is one plant that pays back dividends. Care for it and it will care for you.

The secretions are great for burns and cuts in the kitchen. They are not fussy on light conditions, as long as there is some light. They should only be fertilized in the spring and summer. Once a month. Water your Aloe every three weeks in the spring and summer and every 6 weeks in the winter.

  4. Peace Lily

Despite their name, Peace Lilies are humidity-loving tropical evergreens that detest high temperatures. Keep indoor temperatures around 75°F during the day and slightly cooler at night. Aim for a manageable 16 inches indoors, dusting large leaves regularly.

Feed correctly to encourage bright white flowers, watching out for low phosphorus and high nitrogen levels, which hinder flower production.
