Most pinecone rain chains I found were upsidedown. I didn’t like that. I also read a review where a person bought an upsidedown pinecone rain chain and they said that it was very splashy. They inverted that chain and found that out was less splashy. My only negative comment would be the rain chain is too short. 72inches seems long but my gutters are more than 6 feet from the ground. I had to use a bungy cord to anchor the chain to the drainage pot underneath.

My installation required linking 2 chains together, which was easily accomplished with the hook and welded chain design. The rain chain is an attactive alternative to a 16 foot downspout.

Pricey house accent, but worth it! Perfect finish to a short gutter span where we didn’t want a downspout. We bought 3 to make 2 rain chains that reach from our gutters to close to the ground. The designed length left the rain chain about 4 ft from the ground on our one-story house.
